Produce Terminal
I am planning a module based on the Los Angeles Produce Terminal. Below is the track plan for the module.
The module will feature a detailed representation of the produce terminal, including the loading docks, warehouses, and parking areas. The scene will be set in the 1950s, with period-appropriate vehicles and details to enhance the realism of the layout. The warehouse tracks are designed to hold a total of 28 40 foot ice reefers and the ice house track (left in picture) will hold up to 6 cars.
Inspiration
I built an HO Scale version of this module back in 2008. Unfortunately it was damaged beyond repair and the modules were used to create a new staging yard. I have always wanted to rebuild this module in S Scale and now that I have the space and time, I am excited to get started. The image below is the only rendering of the prototype, which clearly has more tracks than I can include on my module.

- Tomalco Track Code 100 flex on the main line, Code 83 on the siding, and Code 70 for industry tracks.
- Radius:

- Turnouts:
- Two #8 (1 each left and right) off the main track and nine #4 for the warehouse tracks. All turnouts will be built using Fast Tracks jigs.
